am looking for input on HM ambassador - Isuzu petrol engine (current model) - Did they ever come in 4x4 gear box configuration, may be special application for the army or available at special order? if any one has info on it, please share.

HM was never offered with a 4x4 gear box or in 4x4 mode. The same engine however was used in a the petrol version of the Mahindra MM550 with a 4x4 Isuzu gearbox. This model however is extremely rare to find so I doubt you can source one.
