I guess, the Gypsy is crying for new shoes then a customized bumper.

The spare tyre was mounted on the tonneau as I didn't want it on the tailgate. As for alternate materials, a mix of aluminium, fiberglass and polycarbonate sheets should work good.
In fact, I am itching to do another redesigned tonneau in fiberglass for my Gypsy. It would inherently have a better finish, weigh lesser and would overcome the shortcomings of the present one.

Vaibhav,
I am interested in getting a tonneau for my Gypsy as well, let me know when you intend to re-fabricate.

hi "gotzuk" great looking gypsy buddy. And i guess you get what you pay for, the bumper on your gypsy looks top class, better than any fabricated ones i have seen here in india so in my opinion well worth it! Just one question, what is the weight of the bumper? and any consequences on the handling of the vehicle?

Inspired by all the good looking & beefy bumpers here, I & a friend decided to fabricate one for ourselves also here in Bangalore.

This is what we landed up with and will be soon seen on a white SPoA Gypsy :-)

Here is a picture of the bumper (before being painted black & is in primer coat)

Winch bumper,

This is the custom made bumper to my gypsy, made with lot of help from Tbhp friends, i find a good Sheet metal fabricator, its made with 3 mm thick CR Sheet and Pure polyester Powder coated, by seeing other friends posts it seems it worked out cheap to me, i paid 7500.00+250 transportation from his place,

king: the indicator are small, only the dummy reflector area is a large rectangular section, i personally think the design looks neat.
