When i did research, i found that the Hellas with clear lens were used for spot beams and the ones with the ribbed glass was for spread out light.

Frankly, i'm quite happy with my 900 rupee neolights.

Yeah, we had already discussed that. It apparently works on 130W bulbs, I was hoping for a 55W solution if I am to use 4 lights. If I go for those custom lights, I'll limit it to two.

BTW, how can a single light provide both narrow and wide beam? Are you talking about a combo of lights?

That is true, I actually changed my headlights from clear to ribbed for that reason. I was hoping see some info wide beam angle in the specification.

for spread, select the 240 with hybrid filters,
and for your spot go for the 170

this combo is the best combination ever

I considered Lightforce or Higher Hellas but with people like Red Liner lurking around, i had to change my light options!

On a serious note, I didn't want to spend 30K for lights. But yes, after all the other things in the Jeep wishlist are done, then they will be installed.

I know. That's why i bought neolights. Cheap option (Rs.900/pair), can easily be replaced.

Abhey has a pair or neo's 1010 & 1111 installed in his gypsy. I think it was 700 bucks for the 1010's and 800 for the 1111's + 500 for a lumax dual relay wiring harness. the lights are very good for what they cost. here is a pic

Thanks buddy. Your post couldn't have come at a better time. I was thinking of going to Karolbagh to get a pair or 2 installed in my CJ3B. Also I am thinking of installing a cigarette lighter so that I can charge my phone and GPS with that!!

Any idea what wattage are the bulbs in these lights 1010 & 1111???

The 1010s have 50/55W. No idea about the 1111.

Hi Harjeev,

The 1010 & 1111 come with 50/55
the 1111 has an option of 100Watt bulb too. It is mentioned in their online catalog.

However 1111 are difficult to source, we could only get them in silver framing with yellow reflector and clear glass. they are bigger than the 1010's and the cover is better built. the 1010 should cost you about 300/350 a piece.

I have the winch too, but you can't add that to the list. My Ramsey winch can draw 4860W (405A X 12V) at peak load, it can drain the battery so fast, no alternator can replenish it in real time. My calculation was about sustainable power usage without draining the battery.

It is not long exposure, that is how it looks. Any oncoming driver, if subjected to that, will be blind for 5 minutes.
