here you go Automotive Headlamps Manufacturer,Auto Head Lamps,Automotive Head Lamps,Auto Headlamps Manufacturer,Car Head Lamps,Automotive Headlamp Exporters

on the second page you have the 1010 , I have used a combination of two 1111 and two 1010 (1111 in the centre and 1010 on the ouside) the lights were good enough night driving. They aren't bad at all for the price you pay.

exactly, though lightforce is the best ever. i would think twice before putting around 30K for the 240 blitz. importing them as checked baggage is a different story though

thanks for the link bro!

thanks for the link.
that hella & light force delver the best light. but 30-40k is a big amount in India thus most offroaders will consider some serious mechanical upgrades or some repairs .

in 30k we can
  • overhaul a xd3p/xdp4.90.
  • gearbox overhaul /swap
  • new wiring, paint, top.
  • tyres
  • may be winch or lsd
  • axle repair or swap

I have a set of lightforce lights and a pair of roo lights. The lightforce hae greater spread and the roo have a more penetrating effect. Totally love the lights.
I think they are simply the best.
Also got a set of filters for the same. Got blue for the lightforce and yellow for the roo lights.

After the horrendous experience of fog+rain driving after the Sharavathy OTR, I wanted to upgrade my auxiliary lights.

Most fog lights we see or have are actually yellow spot lights. What you really need in fog driving is a wide beam of light illuminating the road just ahead. The long range spot lights just create a diffused light wall in front of you.

After some brainstorming, the following came highly recommended. A work light used in JCBs. They are very short range, and have a very wide beam. The model name is Neolite 714.

I picked up 6 numbers of it at Jann's marketing services JC road) at 390 per item. We needed more, but they ran out of stock. More expected next week. On the way back we found another similar model from Hilux for just 140 bucks. The datasheet given here: http://www.hiluxautoelectric.com/det...terex-9-43.htm

Samurai - Hella has something similar known as farm lights.
They are also good for close-up lighting.
Cheers

I will be replacing my current auxiliary lights with this one. Planning to mount only 4 of them, rest was for others who wanted it.

I'll keep the expensive ones for GV. The Jeep can manage with cheapo lights.

@samurai:

You are right about the different types of lights. Most Indian manufacturers and general consumers just refer to them as *fog lights*. There are many different categories based on the type of beam from the light.

As you correctly said the fog lights should throw a very low/wide beam which doesn't go out far otherwise the moisture particles will deflect the light back to your eyes. Fog lights are best placed low. In jeeps the bumper is ideal for them.

It all depends on why do you want them. In India, you're right, all ancillary lights are referred to as fog lights.
Sharath needs them for applications in fog. Me and other friends use them more for night offroading applications where even the length of the beam is important. In such a case higher, the better.

Agreed, but in this case fog lights are not the best lights for this. You should go for long range/driving lights.
