As pointed above, any and every method will trap moisture between the floor and the material and screw up the metal. I have experienced this with my gypsy when I had thermoed [also known as "namda"] the entire floor, firewall, roof etc to get a better cooling with my AC..

Now, My AC does NOT work and the floor is bare naked!
