My Gypsy Gal is home

Dear All

Posting some initial quick shots of my new darling here. Will also add experience of dealing with Maruti and initial impression here in later posts.

I took delivery on Friday later afternoon. The white-balance is somewhat off - a little too warm. The real color with accurate white-balance is seen in the pic of the Gypsy logo. Sorry about that.

I will add some long distance shots later after I drive her to a suitable location outdoors nearby. My parking area is too dirty for that.

Hope you like her.

Thanks

P.S: I guess your thread will be locked now as you need to write the initial driving experience too!

Congrtas on buying a Gypsy, especially for buying MG413W i.e. Wide Track as many are buying MG410's only.
Are Yokohama Geolanders came as stock tyres with your Gypsy or you replaced them ??
Ride safe & enjoy off-roading.
Now just waiting for your initial ownership report !!!
Please do post more pics along with some off-roading pics as well.
Would like to hear from you about the booking process.

I exchange the stock tyres for Yokos. Of course they dont come in stock ex-factory!! Quit dreaming!!

215/75/R15. The originals were strangely also muscular looking not the puny ones I see on government vehicles. MRF Estate F78-15 Nylon. Infact when I was exchanging them, initially I was wondering if I should have retained them, but the proven ride-quality factor of Yokos was the primary objective and concern.

I took the pics pretty late, so I dont have a snap of the older ones - my friend has a somewhat longish shot taken during pooja and delivery, will check if that gives a perspective and upload.

Cheers

Guys

I need help with permanent registration. I am using this post as reference: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ml#post1562826

I need to know what to fill in Form-20 (http://rto.kar.nic.in/form20.pdf) for the following fields

3. Permanent address - Should I use my outstation address as seen on passport or use local address? The only address proof I have in my name locally is telephone landline for airtel.

6. Annual Income and PAN/GIR Number - ***?!!! Why should I declare my annual income to RTO? This is a breach of my privacy. Can I put an arbitrary amount here?

12. Class of Vehicle - LMV is correct?

14. Type of Body: SUV. but the Insurance doc says "Saloon" should I request correction of the Insurance doc?

15. Type of Vehicle - ??? What do I put here?

Q29 to 39 Additional Particulars to be completed only in case of Transport Vehicles other than Motor Cab

Whats this? Not my privately owned Gypsy right?

@Mods - Maybe we should start a new thread on what to fill in the RTO forms when self registering vehicles with the entries to make for different vehicle types?

Please move to a new thread if you think so.

Thanks

OEM fitment are Ceat tires. I guess victim of the recent tire "license raj" which also took Maxxis out of the market?

Good call on the tires, the Geolandar AT-S is a VERy capable dual purpose tire. It hasn't let me down on the road...or off it so far. Tried it on a variety of terrains with good results.
