Can the Thar's 4wd be fitted onto the Scorpio 2wd?

@n.devdath: Firstly the THAR is not coming with 2.6 CRDe. Its a 2498 NEF CRDe engine which in various states of tunes adorning the Bolero or the Xylo.

Understanding your requirement, your BOM for this operation along with approximate prices would be

Scorpio 4WD Chassis - 60-70K
Borg Warner Transfer case - 80K
L & R Lower Arm -4k
L & R Upper Arm - 4k
Scorpio 2.6 CRDE Front Differential - 25-30K
L & R Axle Shaft - 5K
L & R Wheel Hubs - 10K

But the only problem in this case is M&M or its dealers doesn't sell chassis to individual customers, unless and until the vehicle had a severe accidental damage. Getting your chassis number punched is also not an easy job and especially if the vehicle is financed, getting it endorsed on the RC will be next to impossible. The resale value will also go for a toss.

My 2 Cents: If you don't want to spend 13Lacs for new VLX 4X4, wait for a 4x4 in the used market.

This exercise is just not worth it.

Thainks for a moment that ,if i get 4wd Thar, remove the body and put Bolero vlx shell, is it a perfect fit ???

Rajith, Thar is 95.5" WB, Bolero WB is longer, IIRC 105" (min). Anyhow, clever idea I must say!

so i am going to wait for 4wd VLX bolero with IFS.With ABS , AIRBAG then 100% perfect
