Jyobeb, how cheap was this donor Pajero and how old was it?

It was a 2010 SFX, which had rolled.

That WILLERO looks smashing Sir. The timeless shape of a Willys and the trustworthy underpinnings of a Mitshubishi is a great marriage clap: Seems to be a royal wedding and we cant wait to catch it conquer all terrains in exalted comfort and the safety cocoons of ABS, EBD and Airbags cpics:

Hi all, a friend needs a soft copy of the Scorpio factory service manual. Does anyone have it? Can PM me or email it at drsamuelk@hotmail.com

A lot of work had to be redone due to some very incompetent work. Since the work is now being done in my own workshop I can afford to be really picky and particular.

BUMP!! Hi jyobeb! Do you have the latest pictures/updates on this project?
Would really like to see the end result!

Regards,
Kaustubh Vaze

How is the MONSTER 4X4 coming up Sir? Am just tempted to make a quick run to your workshop to catch a glimpse of your ride :)

Hope to visit you shortly with some of the Gypsy group members who've been wanting to see the Monster in the making :thumbs up

What is the current status of the project?

Awaiting pictures of the beast

Came across this Overlander shown at SEMA on the net and thought of your project. Please do keep sharing updates.

Any updates on this project? It's been a while now and I'm eager to see the finished project.

First things first, clap: for your patience and dedication for the project.
Since no updates, I am not sure in which stage the project is in currently. Now coming to the point, it will be interesting to know how did you manage the airbag connections on this project car. Do you have a dedicated ECU unit from the Pajero? A word of caution here, the airbags from a donor vehicle are designed to work only in the environment of the donor vehicle considering (for example) the below factors:

- Distance between the airbag and the occupant (contributing factors: seat height, column collapse)
- Vehicle pulse (Contributing factors: Overall mass, crumple area distribution, vehicle pitch height)
.
.
.
and so on... So if you don't have the ECU configured (I am sure this job cannot be done outside the factory) according to this custom vehicle construction, the airbags could actually pose you danger contrary to your 'belief' of a safe off-roader being built.

A Hindu article - Hope this is about the OP
