Hi Twinn, i dont know about ambys, but vaguely remember that shade on an amby (matt finish right?)
The black rail is a luggage carrier. The headlight rings are the original ones which comes on the willys CJ3A.

Is one available in Hyd or maybe with your trusted mechanic? I would like to pick it up, provided front and back are of the same dimension :-)

Warm Regards

I remember this jeep when in build up stage at Habeeb bhai garage at katchiguda, I see the owner is very enthusiastic person, having the rack in the rear, air cleaner which I never saw on other jeeps, there was a special 'jeep' engraving/embossing done on the window on the windshield but never saw the out come personally but now just dumbstruck with the pictures.
Thanks chanu.Yes it was done by Habib . Owner is as you said very enthusiastic. The same person is doing up a Kaiser CJ6. The Jeep engraving , , actually the tool box of the CJ3A comes with that design, he just removed the tool box plate and fixed it on the wind screen. It looks fantastic and one of a kind. I am posting a pic of the owner in his JEEP.

This is a 2006 Landcruiser Prado , 4.0L, V6 petrol engine .

Owner: yours truly

Re: JEEPS of the Charminar offroad club

Pleased to know and see picture of Mr.Keshava rao, who was an inspiration to me when I used to visit Habeebs garage to turn my jeep dreams into reality. It takes lot of guts and brave heart to throw the jeep into slush, mud after investing so much efforts to make the jeep look one of a kind. Lovely looking jeep I've seen till date, after knowing about its condition (quite and soft) hope and wish to see it personally, the rear rack is cool. There used to be a guy named Yousuf who had one with him but was way booked by someone and then I did not have my jeep so had to let it go.

It was Independence day , and we get a call from the secretary of the Deccan heritage XX MR.Anirudh vijay (,who happens to be a close pal of mine) to invite me to his Vintage show . Here we go.

Re: JEEPS of the Charminar offroad club

Please pardon my ignorance but what's the logic behind different kind of co-passenger side door on this particular Thar?

The heart has its reasons that reason (logic) knows not!

The logic I'd say is the door looks better than the original doors!

Then in that case why not on the both side? Why only on co-passenger side? If it would have been on both side even I might have thought that it's for that added aesthetic appeal but..

Lol. Good point. Didn't notice that thing. Can't think of any logic for the same. Maybe work-in-progress?

The tubular doors pic is the latest pics, the original doors pic is about a month old. No logic behind it.

Re: JEEPS of the Charminar offroad club

Nice pictures Franke, I have seen this Thar at younus modifier when I was passing by this shop for lubes, she was looking humongous with those hefty tires. Thanks buddy for sharing these beautiful pictures, they are awesome esp your CJ3B and Ford at DHAA.

I was also there in the 15th Aug DHAA rally and now I see that I have seen you along with three jeeps the CJ3B, CJ3A, Ford and this was the second time we missed seeing eachother, earlier with your Brown and white CJ3B at Bahadurpura.

Re: JEEPS of the Charminar offroad club

Chanu we will surely meet up next time bro.

I would like to know any suggestions from you guys to improve the mechanical side of the thar apart from what i mentioned. Any thing ,what ever price , budget is unlimited , please pour in you suggestions .

Behram dhabar and Spike arrestor, you always mention about the brakes, engine and suspension upgrade. It would be helpful if you can give some valuable tips.

What can we do to improve the low end torque below 3000rrm?
Compound turbos?
Bigger injectors
Bigger intercooler
Remap
Are any crawler gears available for the NGT530 anywhere in the world?

Can we get a locker for the front differential?

Behram bhai waiting for you million dollar PM.

Boy o boy!! Franke I am not at all an expert of that sought to give you inputs about the things you have mentioned but, it surely gave me a feel great about what you feel about me. Thanks my friend for that. Regarding the upgrades we have loads of master minds and you yourself are doing great in the jeep activities and I am sure you will conquer great achievements in future.

How about looking at reservoir shocks to adapt according to the terrain, may be this video would give you some ideas.

Re: JEEPS of the Charminar offroad club

Hi Chanu, thought of foam cell shocks first and then settled with blistein .

Sutripta, the tubes were bent manually (man power).
