| ![]() Just loved the way you have built your jeep. Very tastefully done & the colour is super! My uncle in bangalore had a grey MM540 hard top which was the only one in that part of bangalore that time. The snorkel is very well finished. I know this might be amateurish, ![]() |

The Mountings. ![]() Expecting open opinion and suggestions for improvement ![]() there is a particular reason behind this (fitting on axle tube will post once I got the disadvantages) I need to test on trials. - Sreejesh Last edited by sreejeshmp : 13th April 2012 at 08:27.

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() when your right wheel is flexed in and left wheel inside a rut - this setup will not allow the shock to turn/rotate on axis and will break the mounts, thats why the company setup is on the chassis - let me post a pic... scratch that ^ This setup will still work with a SMALL but IMP mod - on the axle housing side mounting, instead of the bolt being north-south, make a juggad so that bolt is horizontal (front back) - in that case the shock will pivot freely when the axle goes up and down - hope i am able to be clear here... Sorry head is fuzzy - scratch #2 - go back to drawing board with #1 - in your current setup - all road vibrations, axle movements will be translated to this new damper unnecessarily - thats why the chassis-to-tierod connection is good and free from any unwanted shocks from bad roads... with me? For the money and effort front LSD is the cheapest option if you want more traction. But is really hard to keep the jeep on track. But on rock it performs like a dream but in sticky mud/slush it Drives the jeep.
