Santhosh,

I hope you driven Jeep with Rear LSD While Driving Jeep with rear LSD we should be careful on turnings a sudden acceleration in Corner on a slippery surface will make the vehicle slip easily because the 2 wheels are rotating in almost same speed so just imagine what will happen if we have LSD on front and rear that too on a slippery corner !! The jeep will move like a snake on tiles . Means rear will try to push hard but the front too trying the same that case it will start moving left/right depending on the surface..

Now the solution is MT / NDMS in this case any one Wheel from rear and front will get traction and I can move on..

Santosh, with front LSD in clay, the steerability is LOST! Jeep moves only in line, and not circles.

Last OTR, Sreejesh's vehicle had just enough traction, but couldn't get through as it could not be steered and kept missing the narrow track, and hitting the rocks.

That is why, I had the question about what if: He could manually control it.

Haha Prabhu Sir with MLD we can control the locker and It works differently from the LSD Its the In case of LSD the Throttle engages the locker so We don't have any control on Lock/unlock of the LSD.

Re: "Heart Over Mind" 2001 MM550 XD - Rebuild

I thought you were referring to the on-tarmac experience, didnt realize you were referring to trails. (FWH should negate the effects on road, right, thats why i asked)

LSD kickback is much lesser than a locker, that too a full locker like prabu's on front.

Prabhu- On trails I think you should manually lift the front to make shift the direction of your jeep, like in a bike parking lot!! LOL. I cant imagine how do you drive with a front locker, but been wanting to experience the same on my jeep - lets pray it happens soon!

It would have been different if it had CV joints in place of single UJ (cross ) ( in the Knuckle ) , Think why ?
check the rotation of shafts having U joints -- its not far , its here somewhere

The sand/biscuit color looks awesome. It's what am getting done on my jeep. Mark my words, you have a beautiful specimen as is but with this color, it will stand out even more

Here's a page from another thread on the forum with a similar color. Maybe it will help make up your mind
