I stand by what I said above. You don't have any experience with this model, you have never driven one in pristine shape so you have no standard by which to judge it except when it is too late, after you have poured good money down a rat hole. Believe me, you are putting yourself in position to be grossly disappointed.

I also agree with responses that are advising you to keep away from this kinda vehicles.
My points are,
Even if you get it for aroune a lakh, you may end up spending 2 to 3 lakhs more and that puts you bang into used later model decent Bolero territory.
You may end up spending way too much as you need to start from tyres upwards.
May require an engine rework.
Rust patches warranting a complete paint job.
The black plate also suggests long inactive dumping, not even well stored.
Further if restoration is what interests you Bolero is not definitely the one for it.
Think twice before the plunge.

If you are really interested in buying a 4X4 hard-top, this one may be not a bad option provided that;
1. You get it for less than 1 lakh
2. Your mechanic thoroughly inspects and finds it to be substantially O.K
3. The registration papers are clear.

One thing for sure is that Bolero 4X4s with manual shift are not easily available. If restored wisely, this vehicle will suit all your needs and will be an asset.

Well, i myself am looking for a 4wd Bolero. But looking at 2006/7 onward models. In my search i had come across 2-3 4wd models. Let me know if you are intrested, will share the details. All of them are KA registered.
