Hey Chanderjeet, a warm welcome post your hiatus, and what a way to resume. The jeeps looking great with the new shoes.
You do have a cute assistant there, mine does not like to assist she wants to drive
By the way, did you get a work around on the tyres touching the sides/leaf springs?

Cheers,

I did not. Winter laziness has settled in her most obedient pupil, me.
Long departed are the days of physical activity and now I am a mere couch vada pav. The list of things I want to do is increasing day by day and as the Mayan calender comes to an end, I want save my money just in case the world ends this month. It atleast gives me a warm fuzzy feeling of owning a few extra rupees, that's all.

However, I will share the to-do list post Mayan apocalypse epic fail.

- Get the tires to stop rubbing what ever they are rubbing.
- Install a 12v cig lighter and buy fake cigarettes because homie don't smoke.

- Change the seat covers.
- And most importantly, change the silver screws and washers that are holding the door panel. I know that originally they were not fit like that. So I want to get the original fitments.

Hello there,

Logged in after a long time. My regular banning here has been a deterrent.
Not a lot has happened on the Jeep. I got the tires straightened out and now they don't touch the insides. Got the 12v cig lighter installed, with quite ease actually. Sad part is that I haven't been able to attend any OTRs yet. Looking forward to one. I did however put on some stickers. If that counts for anything. Pic below. I have been playing around with the idea of a full size sticker on the bonnet. You will find some badly photo-shopped photos of my ideas below too.
Do you think they'd allow me in OTRs with these? I don't want to be the rest feel bad just because they don't have the great taste in auto graphics like I do.

Are you Sure you want SriDevi and Mrs Nene on your Jeep
On a serious note,a better stepney cover, this one does not get along with the rest of the jeep.

The drive in the Jeep has been great so far. She has met all my expectations so far. Well....... she can't make me a sandwich yet. And AC sounds all posh and expensive and may require a lot of shoe shopping.

The battery is dead and winter is coming...

Which one would you suggest. I read somewhere on this forum that a tractor battery is a better options because it can take much more tumbling than regular ones.

Please chime in.

Amaron Harvest 90 Amps, will cost you 5100 to 5500 after giving them your old battery.

Re: MM540 4WD - Monkey see, Monkey do !

I posted somewhere in the thread that I may come back after a few years just to get laughs and I did. I moved to Sweden to ended up selling the Jeep for half the price I spent on it. But it was all worth it. I have made some bad financial decisions but none so fun as this was.

I did however ended up taking my jeep up north once upto the Himalayan national park.
It wasn't a breeze to drive. But I remember it to be the best trip I had with my friends.

I do miss it and couldn't have made it that far without the immense help for Behram Dhabar ji. May he RIP.

In the past month I've achieved two things. I am more obedient of my master and there is a permanent indentation of my posterior on my home-office chair. Needless to say, I've been reading a lot on T-Bhp and stumbled upon your thread. Read the bit about Mr. Nirankar losing his sunshine after driving your jeep. Proceed to explain the joke to my family. Got booed out of the room, where they were watching some Akshay Kumar and Abhay Deol flick (It was a competition about who had more chest hair).

This is a question for anyone willing to respond (And considering this is a lockdown, I'd encourage you to use your wisdom to guide a man who is so dense, his stupidity stood in as the extra for the black hole in Interstellar). I am looking to switch vehicles and for a long time, I've wanted a 4x4 with some creature comforts. Do you think it is still possible to find a decent specimen of a MM540 at reasonable prices or would everything on the road be done for by now?
