FP serviced & Nozzles replaced - 6100.00

Replaced the lift Pump & top of the Diesel filter Assy - 1025.00

Crown & pinion Changed to 43/8 (5.38) ratio.

tested in Wayanad OTR recce Found the rev is too low & black smoke. Pump was little advance in setting.


Today morning tuned the FP perfectly and now It runs fine, The Diffratio with 31" tyre really makes difference in on/off road .

Why was the nozzles replaced (beyond serviceable)?

How much was the 5.38 conversion cost? Crown? Pinion? Labor?

SVS two nozzles where stuck , serviceable but not to the best So replaced all the four. I exchanged My old 4.88 Crown & pinion with old LSD(Now works like an open diff) + 1000.00 for the 5.38 set with one prop shaft flange(Pinion milling & flange is different in NGCS (new model)). labor charge was 2500.00 for FP Servicing,Differential work, general service including Oil change etc.

That Legend is really a Legend, I still remember the Wayanad MGE recce with you in that MM Legend, that too with that JK Elanzoo tyre .

No I am not talking about legend. I am talking about NGCS Army 550 with DI turbo engine and 4.3 ratio

After BAOTR I was really disappointed with the Articulation & NGT520 + 4.88 + 31" tyre It was just like a Gypsy with jeep Body.

Now I am Happy after lot of experiments and proper tuning of Engine/FP, Suspension,Differential Ratio.Now Its a wonderful Machine Both On road and Offroad.

I think the Suspension articulation is better than the articulation with Chassis flex. There is no strain on Chassis/Body Thank you Tini .

Can you elaborate on what you've done with your suspension? What leaf-springs and shackles did you use? Shocks?

Rear is from Thar CRDe & front is still in R&D I will update the details after testing with few more changes. Shocks are same NGCS OE.

A huge change from Bangalore OTR till now.. Still way more to go! and, No doubt it is the better option. But, what is the limit? I guess we will wait and see!

I am surely interested in the rear changes you have done. The stock NGCS Armada Grand rear leaf stack is very stiff and hardly moves!!

Can you detail out the rear changes to be done, part by part?

Except m&m military ngcs 4wd all other ngcs 4wd range with solid axles are having same part num for spring assy and brackets.More over it was recommended to me by my reliable ex doctor from plant.

After Wayanad AOTR Not got enough time to Drive My jeep. Just Did a Water service and kept in Garage. two days back when I try to start the jeep It shows strange behavior after a full crank the Starting motor Bendix comes back & Motor keeps rotating, Started the jeep by pulling using my Bolero and Starting motor serviced Bendix was fine but the fork was the problem Changed The fork & Brushes (Rs 1024.00 includes Brush,servicing & fork).


Now its time for a complete Transfer case overhaul. Can't drive with the pathetic Humming Noise .
