Re: 1998 Toyota 90 Series SWB 3 Door Land Cruiser Prado. EDIT: Now with 2" Ironman Li

Recently had got the following work done at the Toyota Authorized Service Station.
  • Changed the wheel bearings for both the front wheels. O.E. imported from Japan by Toyota
  • New Lower Arm Joints for front RH/LH side -- imported from Australia
  • New Upper Arm Ball Joint for front RH/LH side -- imported from Australia
  • New Steering rod tie-ends -- imported from Australia
  • New rear suspension bushes for drag links/rods/arms -- imported from Australia
  • Lowered the suspension back to normal

Really happy with the work done & professionalism shown by Nandi Toyota to do work on this vehicle. With all these changes the vehicle, from a mechanical perspective, rides like new. Changing these bushes/joints has made a world of difference in the ride/handling and overall feel of the vehicle.

Oh yes, finally managed to get a copy of the Bill of Entry from Delhi RTO also for the vehicle. This will help in paying the KA-Tax and is an invaluable document to have.

Good its a really nice vehicle to drive.
Have a look at the exaust clamp bushes as well, if dry and parched, replace.
Always keep a spare set of front stablizer bar bushes with you.
And pay attention to the water pump bearing.
What does the odo read now ?

Khanu,
Just saw the classified listing, Pardon me for asking, but why the hell would you want to sell away a beautiful vehicle for just taking a break from offroading? If its for more personal reason, then I would'n't be asking.

Just curious.

Andy

Pity he is selling it after I bought a couple of Thars. Bad timing, bad luck!

Meanwhile I am driving this Prado these days. Took it to Nainital and back a round trip of about 800 odd KM including local runs. Didnt like the unresponsive but high torque Diesel Engine 1KZTe much. By Bolero, Xylo, Scorpio, Thar Mahindra Diesels are much peppier.
