Shuben, I say dark colour to offset the cream rims. Maybe a deep red or bottle green from the catalogue? Or use the Jawa as a sample?

great color, worth considering. I may avoid orange because its too catchy for my age.

here is history of this model (DJ3A):
The Jeep "Surrey" or "Gala" was a package on the two-wheel drive DJ-3A Dispatcher. Produced by Willys starting in 1959, the Surrey was usually seen in pink (actually Tropical Rose/Coral Mist), but also offered in Cerulean Blue/Glacier White, and Jade Tint Green/Glacier White , and 1959 Willys paint chips.

The rare color advertising photo here dates from 1960. The chrome hubcaps all have red trim, whereas most pink Surreys have body color trim on the hubcaps . Also the pink steering wheel appears to be painted the darker Tropical Rose, rather than the usual lighter Coral Mist steering wheel.

Small update:
Painter has removed paint a coat of primer have been applied for time being. Our mech has taken delivery and he will drive it for 500 kms to ensure mechanical s are perfect.










BTW, two days back this Jeep did a jungle trip of 120 kms and performed flawless. as suggested by Arka for engine run-in, regular breaks were taken, RPM varied etc. Need to fix silencer, though i love current sound ( it has half silencer).
I am anticipating to start paint by early June (before monsoon), lets see how it goes.
