Getaway is good as an expedition vehicle but not as an OTR vehicle. I always believe in a double cabin pick up as an expedition vehicle.

Here are few photos of the nicely done Mahindra Pik Up!
Any Idea what make/size of wheels were they using on this one? Close up photo perhaps? Those deep dishes look amazing!!

Car love: these are steel rims available in 139.7 (old jeeps and all Gypsies) and 160 PCD (all new M&M and Tata vehicles). They are imported by few people in India including Swastik Fabs and come in Black and Chrome plated. There are two designs with triangular and circular holes
they are i think 8 or 8.5J rims.

@Jaskirat, can you please share the pricing for the flares. I did check the mahindra customization website and wrote a note to them, but didn't get a reply. I also own a black LX Mhawk Scorpio and would be keen provided the pricing is right

Re: Interesting Modified Scorpio Getaway for Gul Panag

How much is Gul being paid by Mahindra for the commercial?

Not to take due credit way from the build though. Awesome job by Jaskirat.

roy_libran, thanks for appreciating the build. It is always good to hear good things from fellow auto enthusiasts.

This is Gul's own vehicle and the video is not a commercial.

Cheers

Re: Interesting Modified Scorpio Getaway for Gul Panag

A new series called "Off Road with Gul Panag: Ladakh" is going to start from today on Discovery, at 8 PM. Would be really interesting to see the Getaway in action in detail and the journey.

I saw the 30 minutes show yesterday. Its to be continued further.

The starting episode was nice. The information and few tips they shared were worth. Showed a bit of usage where and how 4L should be used and it was really a nice touch.

The only thing they did which might convey a wrong message to few is, they deviated from the main roads and took few off road tracks where the potential of the vehicle and the driver were really tested and those tracks demand a 4x4. But in real life to reach Ladakh those roads are not must. Those off roads can be very well avoided. So those who are not aware of that, for them it might give a wrong impression like, to visit Ladakh one might need a proper SUV!
