New Pajero SFX

Being the market leader Hindustan - Mitsubishi wishes to retain its customers with the launch of new Pajero. Mitsubishi will soon launch a facelifted Pajero called Pajero SFX.
Do what you do best:

Pajero which is the only true off-roader available you can get at Rs20lakh. Pajero’s off-road capablity has been its strongest selling point and with the new Pajero SFX conquering the terrain becomes more sweeter. Mitsubishi has increased the approach angle by 1degree and now stands at 40.5degrees. Ramp over break angle is increased by 0.5 degrees to a healthier 23.5degrees. More than all that Pajero SFX is equipped with fatter 265/70 R15 tyres and wider footprints to offer grip even on wet surfaces. Ground clearance of new Pajero SFX stands at 205mm (15mm more than the existing pajero). Mitsubishi - Hindustan has introduced three new colours - Limestone, Granite and deep purple for the new pajero SFX.

Why are they giving it a few new colours & a new name & thinking that it will work when it already hasn't??

Plus, it looks pig ugly to boot with the weird two-tone paint job. Always makes me think it's a cut & shut job of two separate cars!!

I think Pajero is one of the best off-roader available in Indian Market, if not the best. Even thought its an old design, I love it.
If a person is really interested in off-roading then this is the car. I would choose it over CRV, Endeavour or watever. May be the cars that I have named are much faster than Pajero but the presence and capabilities are incomparable!

Hmm. Let's see. This car, even though it's so old, rides, handles and drives better than the Endeavour. Off the road, there's no contest. The Pajero is still king. In the 20 Lac bracket, this is still the best proper offroading SUV.

So new tyres and some more colour options make a *new* Pajero? Sigh.....when will HM ever learn. Even the badge they use is off the popular Lancer SFX.

Great machine nevertheless.

It looks exactly like it did before. Who are they targetting with this vehicle? Off-roaders don't care about face-lifts, they care more about functionality.

I wish they did something about that long rear overhang, that will stop most owners from taking it off-road. The sound of the rear overhang crashing into ground is like knife to the heart, it happened to me.

I still dont get why they have this two tone coloring. its like a beacon that - incase you get lost in the desert - the Red and White color can be seen from a rescue chopper!

and yeah - like GTO says- whats with the SFX?

IMHO -they should strip it down - knock off about 8L and then see the way it sells like HOT cakes.
