i like this 4Runner better than the current fortuner. a work horse in real sense.

my brother used a similar vehicle in his tour of duty in Afghanistan for 3 years.

cheers:

You just bought back sweet memories of my 93 4 Runner, that machine was virtually indestructible, I went to rallies with it, it took some serious pounding and yet, the suspension and powertrain would take it like no other. Too bad Toyota India has no plans of marketing this excellent true value genuine off roader.

Clean 4x4, looks fantastic with so many years under its belt. Your left tyre looks very worn out compared to the right. Whats up with that?

One word of advice from ex 4 Runner owner to other, if you have done over 100,000km, check your transmission output flange for wears, if there is no grooving but minor scoring, you can remove it with no. 832 emery and polish it off with no. 2 emery. Then get original seal, grease and seal with tri bond and put the bolts back, prefereably with newer bolts. If this is neglected, you will end up needing new flange as they are notorious for grooving out.

The Hella BLACK MAGIC's look great & have a great light spread. The SUV looks hugely better with them on (just my opinion)

Very nicely maintained piece of machinery, brilliantly maintained.

Wish I own an SUV soon !!

Cheers
