Are are projecting your Bolero Storm experience to Thar? The engine may be same, but it is moving a smaller, lighter body. Better power to weight ratio here.

Thanks. Strange choice of tyre by Mahindra if they fit these as standard. They are just a mud tyre whereas most people will be using the vehicle for multiple purposes.

Sharat, Its not power to weight alone that justifies the driving experience but the whole vehicle as such.

And yes, I'm partially sharing my Storm experience too - After all I still drive my good old lady [ Accent CRDi @ 84K kms] to understand and make a statement !

All of a sudden a mahindra western region system machinery started working and dealer become proactive as a surprise.

After careful review I am not getting convinced with worthy of spending behind Scorpio 4x4 just for weekend drive.

Instead I will prefer to wait for your potential project and be part of your dream turn in to reality.

So when are you getting us the Thar???? (Price Tag @ 6 Lacs on road)

Precisely! What are we supposed to put our money on. No offense Mr Behram, but you have been very evasive on direct questions about the specs of this ghost vehicle!

I hope M&M will manufacture more than 100 of these and this is not a limited edition model ;-)

I'd like to see the final product before I decide to trade-in my MM550 and second car.

thanks for the reconfirmation of something to be expected -sir. Just that suspense is getting too long for all of us. we understand the confidentiality thats needed to be maintained by any employee of a company. We respect that. Guys the pic is already up on page 18 in post 257. Hence no suspense on looks. It is the same jeep that they displayed in bologna auto show with minor changes. Only suspension architecture is expected to change. Rest all just the same except those macho looking tyres i suppose.

Testdrive the one you have done is a short chassis. I dont think this will be a short chassis.

Also I dont get the criteria or the budget range or the product in question for the 100 odd people to put some money down?

1) NGCS chassis work in progress.
2) Turbo intercooled 110 BHP DI engine (WIP)
3) Auburn Gear limited slip.
4) Free wheeling hubs.
5) Bolero suspension in front and composite fibre leafs in the rear.
6) Air conditioned (Dual Blower)
7) NGT530 gearbox with Warner Digvi manual shift transfer case.
8) Leather power seats.
9) Split and double folding rear seats.
10) 235/85R16 tyres all around.
11) Gas filled coil type shocks all around.
12) Power steering (Bolero)
13) 10T winch in front and a 8T winch in the rear. (One may get removed)
14) SPOA
15) Snorkel
16) Open knuckle front steering setup.

How about most of these features for about 7 Lakhs?
