Could you provide some technical specs? Does it have the same 2.8L engine and the mechanicals (suspension/gearbox/differential) as the pajeros being sold here now?

Thats a well-maintained Pajero.

Have had the privilege of getting dropped to school in such a vehicle which belonged to my dad's employer (in Dubai). He used to give it to my dad when he went on vacation. . This brought back those memories.

The engine is the 4D56 SOHC unit of 2477 cc displacement and about 72 BHP, it has a rotary distribution type fuel pump.
The front suspension is a torsion rod affair while rear is leaf springs

The gear box is a traditional 5 fwd speed unit with 2H, 4H and 4L option Current models have the super select four wheel drive which is a shift on the fly system.

You will get the evolution of the different models here
Mitsubishi Pajero - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I happen to have pdfs of the entire workshop manual of my car including electrical and chassis.

Had to get on the dirt track connecting Bannerghatta road and NICE road, this stretch of about a Km had major ruts made by heavy trucks and wet weather.

All I had to do was engage 4WD and the machine just climbed on like a goat. Ooh was it fun, especially when big multi axle trucks were stuck with wheels hanging in air.

Cheers,

There's another one green colour w/ tan interior in either Chennai or PY. Immaculate condition. Saw it in a movie recently.
