The actual UAZ 469 was apparently first produced in the early 1970s.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this. Was browsing the ewillys site and came across this apparently extremely rare and "cute" vehicle with an air cooled Porsche engine. There is some info on Wikipedia here Has anyone seen these in India?
