No details of the owner. I waited for a while for the owner to turn up, the Willys Jeep Wagon was parked outside a store in Jodhpur so checked with the store manager as well but they had no clue about the car or the owner. Since the vehicle was parked at the busy Sardarpura market area, it was quite difficult for me to trace the owner.

Haven't seen a Thar with ABS in person. Was curious, have they given an option to turn off the ABS temporarily?

Thank you, sir!. The ABS cannot be switched off.

This is the Willys Overland. Looks like a well restored one!

We used to see lot of these buzzing around Ooty and those areas in the 1970’s through the 1980’s.

I think there may still be one or two lying around here and there, rotting away.

Here are two lovely Jeeps.
The little yellow fellow belongs to a good friend and local garage owner. It is a lovely petrol engined 1967 model Willys.
The dark green MM550 belongs to a neighbour and is parked quite near my home. I dont know him - only wave and say hi in passing. But I think he goes off road because that Jeep is always parked on the weekdays and vanished on the weekends.

There is a third one. It is an elderly and venerable old Blue MM540 very probably of late 1980’s vintage and it is used by the BWSSB authority who are again very near my home. I ll put a pic when I can take one of it.
