@faizal & @Nishant: thanks buddy. i am still sorting out some issues on the 3B, but am sure it will come out OK. regarding the engine, well I am not too happy as I was with my MM550. I guess that aspect needs to be worked on a little more. @Nishant. It performed wonderfully at the 1st OTR. I am just worried about about the engine setting, other than that I have no complaints with the hurricane... In a couple of words 'IT ROCKS'

6*6 Jeep

HI All,

I saw a MM540 made into 6*6 .

With the permission of the owner took the snaps .

The story is that he has been inspired by the lorry design.

He had bought 2 jeeps and merged into one.

All 6 wheels would be working. It has 2 fuel tanks and lot of technacalities.

what i like was the front grill . It made the look big and beastly. Will have to wait and watch how the vehicle does offroads.

The owner is a Jeeper and has 6 jeeps to his collection.

Now the pictures.

I am at a loss for words. But why?

What chassis is this running on? From the looks of it, I reserve my comments. Is it on two or three crown?

Does not look road worthy or easy to drive. He could have bought a 407 or 609 4WD and restored it to all its glory.

BTW what engine is this going to run on?

Amazing creation, but doubt the road worthiness. More of a Road Presence and show off vehicle. Not to undermine, also a 'engineering' acheivement. I doubt its 6*6 possibility. Its more a 6*4 because I cant fathom how the last axle will be powered by the one before it - unless the mechanic can drill out the 1st's diff door and fabricate a Mini Prop shaft out of it - will be a treat if he can pull it off.

Something of this size sure needs a 100+ BHP diesel motor, say from a DCM canter (turbo'ed) or etc...

Ps - Is he a JT/TBHP member, if not, invite him to join so that he can share his experiences and OTR capability of the machine.

The overall front finish is brilliant. I am sure some normal 4x4 jeeps are going to try and copy this design.

Like Santosh mentioned, first thing which comes to my mind is how is the rear axle going to be driven. I am guessing it will be a dead axle.

Also what axles are being used? Dont think these are stock 540 axles.

Who with / Where is the work getting done?

I glued to see the outcome of this one.

Agree ! Please invite him! This is his 7th Jeep? Or is that the 7.5th jeep?

You know Arka's terms very well. Dont worry, please share more details as to which model, etc etc. Have you been having it for many years?

Hi,
It is a 1990 MM540 DP ( According to the RC book) I bought it around 2 years back. Need to convert to 4WD when time and vitaminM permits..
