Hi Tarkesh,

Welcome to the Jeeper Club. I bet your cousins will do an amazing job restoring it. I'd love to see the paint job on your Jeep.

Congrats and welcome.

So this can be sorted out but the body need some real work.

How much did you pay for it and what model is it?

Hi Harjeev,

You are right . The Chasis is not twisted and it is just leaked suspension only. It is Dec 99 Model - The original handover plate from M&M to Army is still there showing these details.
I paid Rs 60K including transportation to Pune + papers for registration

Thanks randeep,

I really need all of your support to make it a good off roader and nice looking Jeep also. I even couldnt stop myself to keep away from the steering wheel when it reached here in Pune.
Now the jeep is in Kolhapur (my native place) and it is in safe hands of my friends workshop where the body is getting stripped for rest restoration.

Thats a steal man

You have got yourself a very good deal
BRAVO

60K for the Jeep+Registration+Transport

I am impressed. What was the name of the dealer in Mayapuri you got this vehicle from??

P.S. Is that the Army auction papers for completing the registration or the registration done??
Anyways even without the registration it is a really good deal

Tarkesh,
If you look closely at the picture, you will see that there is a difference
in the gap between the bumper and the fender. The right side has more gap.
In case of leaking dampers or unleveled springs, the bumper to fender gap on both sides would
be exactly the same, even though the jeep would lean.
I would suggest you get it checked thoroughly. I hope i am wrong though

Cheers

Thanks Harjeev,

I was unable to contact you guys when my brother and cusin was in delhi because my TB regstration was not approved , anyways .
These are army auction papers for registration. I am registering it in Kolhapur(my native) which is in Maharashtra 250 kms from Pune so no problem of NCR registration.

Hi Gotzuk,

Anyways the vehicle is under restoration now so I will check throughly and correct it if anything is wrong. I saw a leaked suspension thats why I felt it is the same.

Kandisa is right he is my brother who heads Body Shop in local Toyota.

This Jack I got with the vehicle only, the person said this is special Army Jack and it can go up thirce the length of the jack. Basically it has 3 different pillars inside which come out with Gear on top of it. I am attaching one more pic when I used it. It works effortlessly , very smooth.
