Final Color Of the Jeep

Hey Guys,

I am bit confused still as my Painting work nearing to completion and I am not yet done my final shade. Earlier I have decided the Army Green (Olive Green) but now I want to explore some new shades but only used by Army like the one I have attached below.

Can you pls attache some more pics with new shades like Dirt Brown or Desert Sand like that.

I prefer the olive green tint. This color looks good in the desert but maynot look that good in urban settings.

BTW, I can't wait for these NCGS 550s to start coming up in the auctions !!

Finally someone who dares to paint the ex army something other than Army Olive Green.

There are some unmarked white 550s in Blr. They look so clean and different.

I also saw a Brown color Jeep in the Hyderabad Jeep Thread. Very unique and different. Basically to blend with the brown landscape we have down south.

I would say go with something other than Black and Olive Green.

OT - The new 550s look even more yummy. NCGS you say?

I thought keeping the army olive green colour is daring!
Tarkesh, any update on your rear seat fixing process? By the way, how many people can be accommodated at the rear with the kind of arrangement you are considering? Two or three?
-regards,

Hi Dan/Kandisa,

I am keeping the Army Olive Green color only , I could not convince my brother and friends because I also was not fully convinced with any other shade.
My brother got the shade from Asian PPG Deltron today.

Kandisa, The rear sear arrangement will accomodate 3 people.

Update time

Hey Guys,

Its update time!!! I could not update on the progress on the Jeep because I was caught up with some work and my engagement.

Anyways the work has progressed bit slowly because I couldnt go to the workshop in last 2-3 weeks, I could only go this sunday evening. The Jeep is painted with first coat of Olive Green .
Before that the Putty work, sanding etc which I mentioned earlier was done and antirust also applied.

Lets see some pics from Putty work, Anti rust and then the first coat (though first coat pics are taken in night).

Perhaps yellow or white/off-white.

Hi Dan/Randeep,

Thanks guys!!

Randeep, The painter has done a lot of hard work on Putty as my Jeep was not in very good shape plus the antirust work also he has done very neatly. See the pic. He has used a putty which never cracks with the jerk or impact.

Dan, The interior and fitting is still not happened. I will take some more pics possibly this weekend in day time for paint . Till that time the second or subsequent coats must have put on.

Its green but its bit darker(as I have seen on sample sheet) , lets see the fianl shade in day time as I was there in late evening.
