Thanks Arka,

I have kept 2 options open for Tyres.

1) Appolo Bullt / Sandgrip - 7.50X16 - Same as I have now on my Jeep- But procuring these tyres is an issue + Less Life of the tyres

If not this then
2) Michelin/BFGs - 235X85XR16 - Tubeless - Easily Available - longer life

Will finalize the same after checking with my friend in Delhi if 1st Option available.

What is your suggestion on this? Pls help.

Tarkesh

Hi Tarkesh,

Apollo Bullet is available in Chennai for Rs4100 each (Tyre & Tube).

Michelin/BFG is better if available in 235-85-16/245-75-16/255-85-16.

Try keeping the overall diameter 30.5" to 32"max.

Regards,

Arka

Have a look at the material that gbanavar (Ganesh) has used in his engine bay. Maybe you could use the same. Ganesh has used it for its sound-deadening properties. IIRC, the shop-keeper told me that it is also heat resistant. I am not aware of its fire-proof properties. If you are unable to source it in your city, let me or Ganesh know and we will be happy to ship some to you.

Thats Great Arka!!

If I arrange for pick up from Chennai , would you help me in that? Pick up and delivery will not be a problem for me as I handle All India Distribution for my company.

What would be the life of the tyres approx considering good amount of use on road and off road as well?

If I put Michelin/BFG what will be the overall diameter? I think I am asking too many questions together.

For sound and heat proofing you can try Wurth products. They seem to be of good quality and should be of international standards

Hi Arka,

Pls help. My technician says now the tyre are needed for alignment and take some trials on road. My stock tyres are totally bald.

Yesterday I was in Hyd , I enquired about the Bullet / Sandgrip but it was not available.

It will be great if you can do this for me, the person who will come for pick up will carry cash and pay to the dealer.

Hi Tarkesh,

You can send your person to BM Lal (Behind Satyam Theatre Parking Lot).

This Shop is opposite the entrance to the parking lot on Whites Road.

Arka

Great Arka,

When can I send the person? Will you be there just to guide him? Because I have doubt that the dealer will give him right tyre or will he replace with some Tarmac tyre.

Thanks for your help.
