My MM550 XD Army Spec

Hi All,

As I mentioned in Harjeev's thread for My MM550XD Army Spec , I am starting this new restoration thread of this Monster- MM550.

Let me give you some brief, We(Me and my younger brother) have been dreaming since our childhood to own 4X4 Jeep, but couldnt due to some reasons (you know Factor "M" was major reason).

About two months back when I was just searching some of the information about 4X4 jeeps on net, I came to know about TB , i find it extremely helpful and fount so many links also. Finally I decided to go for Army MM550XD . Before that I thought over Gypsy also and saw some of them in Pune but in all I didnt like it. In the meanwhile I eqired about the Army disposal jeeps in Delhi through my friends.
Basically I work in FMCG company heading distribution part so contacts all over india with transportation was not at all an issue. My brother works with Local Toyota 3S facility heading Body Paint Shop(Accidents/denting/painting) dept. He visited Delhi along with my cousin(who is automobile engg) and finalize one of the "scrap" vehicle parked at one of the dealer at mayapuri. Looking at the condition at first time nobody would have given first choice to it but my brother duo zeroed it and now they also have the same passiont to restore it.
All I know is this vehicle pertains to Jammu and non accidented one(got it from the Military voucher document)
I am not able to place some pics as of now can any one please help me ? i am trying the attachment option. I am sorry if I am expecting too much but I am very new and bit unfamilier with the set up of TB.

It is bound to be. Not to mention that since the LS election is 3-4 months away, jeeps will be already in demand in northern India.

Looks a like a lot of body work is on the way. Get hold of some good people to restore it properly. Surely it will turn into a beauty.

Even my 550 when I bought was drooping down to one side. Later we found out that it was just a leaked shock absorber.
So this can be sorted out but the body need some real work.

Tarkesh
How much did you pay for it and what model is it?
