Which make is this Jeep? EDIT: Its a Dodge WC52

While taking a stroll in Noida's sector 2, I noticed this jeep. Of course it is in dilapidated condition and is being used as storage area by a local tea vendor. The vehicle carries Nagaland's number.

Looking at this I remembered Arka's 1ton Nissan project.

This is LHD, with Power written on bonnet on bonnet, towards driver's side.

The vehicle's height is pretty impressive, chk the pic where a cycle wala drives past it.

I am sure 4x4 gurus over here would definitely recognize it. My bet it on Nissan!

I Second that Sankar. Its a Dodge Power wagon. The nissan 1 ton and the P Wagon shared somewhat similar looks.

Powerwagon,it is. It can be seen on the side of the hood also.
The gap in the centre of the bumper suggests that there would have been a winch over there.

Thats a Dodge, not a Nissan. Its a Dodge Power Wagon, hence the power written, the wagon seems to have fallen off. Its also got Naga Land Plates?

But the Dodge Power Wagon was only available as civilain, The Military version was called the Dodge M37 WC, (for Weapons-Carrier) but IMHO it never came with the power wagon monogram. This one looks like a Military WC52 It also looks like the brute Military Version but with the monogram. Maybe the export version came with the monogram and was not called the WC as that might have been country specific.

The Military WC 52 Note the similarity in the WC 52 and the pic that has been posted.

One can see these trucks even today, their V8s thrown out and in place plonked the Perkins P6 or some other diesel. They are still used as Tow trucks and can be seen in Mumbai even today. I doubt if any still have the original V8 heart. Maybe this military one still does.

The Civilian Power Wagon

This truck can also be seen in the Classic film Hatari.

It was copied by the Japanese and called the Datsun/Nissan 4W73.

M37 in the Dodge became W73 in the Nissan notice the similarity??...

EDIT: I see while i was at it, some others have guessed it.

The pictures posted fpr identification looks something between an M37 and M601. The front damper placement is definitely M601 style, the side of the engine compartment where the slats are are M601 style, the gear lever shape is M601 style. But the radiator top looks like M37, M601 has more rounded radiator housing.

Its a Dodge Power Wagon. Even our Indian Army had these in running condition till the early 1970's. The GP vehicle was much more than a jeep and also had the four wheel drive for our armed forces.Since my father is an ex-army official, we had many rides on these Power Wagons. These were later replaced by the Nissan 1.5 tonner (petrol engined) made by the Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur. The Nissans are in use even today.
The hood of the Indian Army's Power Wagon used to be of canvas, exactly with the body as posted by rhandle.Even these were imported for civilian use and some other mini truck like variants were seen on our roads.
