After the front SPOA, the height difference between the front and the rear was 1/2". I lifted the rear body using bushing, to compensate for the load after fixing the spare, seats and me!

It's a good idea to change the rear as well otherwise the MM540 looks very disproportionate. I recall the pictures of Arka's jeep before he did the rear as well. Even with the Bolero rear diff the rear track is still narrower than the front so a half inch spacer will further improve the looks without affecting performance. I plan to put a spacer at the back to make the track the same for the front and back.

Regarding the LSD, I recall Arka mentioning in another thread that some Bolero Camper 4WDs came with the 30 spline axle so if you can source the 30 spline Bolero axle through your MM parts guy you can retain your existing LSD. Maybe cheaper than buying a new LSD.

@ Girish. The spacers were fabricated locally at a good lathe.

Appears to be coming on well. PLease can you detail your AC setup (e.g. what condenser you used), also is there any reason why the electric fan has been mounted on the outside of the front grill or was there no space on the inside due to your engine change?

1. what makes your jeep's height, raise so much. is it the incresed no. of leafs in the leaf spring or something else??
2. what are spacers?? are they only required to widen the normal gap between the 2 wheels?? will the introduction of spacers affect the control of the vehicle as the wheels are now widened??

My main blower unit is a Unicla blower, the roof unit is off a Toyota SUV. The reason the roof unit is there is because the jeep is going to be a soft top and the rear passengers are not going to get any of the AC otherwise.
I have not done any modifications to the radiator or the mounting assembly, but there is very little space between the radiator and the grill. Also my condenser is a double coil unit which is about 1" thick. The only way I can mount the fan inside is if I put the condenser really close to the radiator, which is not a good idea.
I will be covering the front plastic cover of the fan motor with a Jeep/Mahindra logo, which hopefully will make it look a little better.

1) The entire suspension has been lifted with a procedure known as the Spring Perched Over Axle, and hence the height.
2) The spacers were fitted only at the rear, since the rear track of the Bolero (the rear diff that I am using is off a Bolero) is about 3" less than the front track. The spacers make the rear track almost the same as the front track.

Amit, spacers can be used either at front or at rear. Readymade spacers(made of aluminium) are available for cars. But for jeeps, they have to be custom made. They do improve the looks but going above 2 inch thickness may harm your wheel bearing.

The condenser is a universal type. My classmate has a spare parts shop that I raid quite often and I picked this up from a choice of over 2 dozen!

Some more updates. The snorkel is almost up and running. It is still unfinished and a lot of grinding and filling needs to be done.
I also ordered an Auburn gear 19 spline Dana44 limited slip differential.

It cost me $270 for the diff + $170 for postage on USPS priority mail and Rs2100 for duty.
It took 14 days to reach me.

Hi, jyobeb, your MM550 is coming out really well. I have been following all the updates in this thread since day one. I have only one humble request...please..PLEASE...please remove that fan from the front grill and put it in some other location. It will spoil the other-wise 'classic' looks of the MM550. That location is good on some taxi-ambassadors , not on jeeps.
