The Isuzu 4jg2 engine shares the clutch cover assembly, clutch plates, release bearing, UJ star and water pump of the Tavera.
The oil filter is the same as used in the Lancer Diesel.
I will update on parts as and when I find out what locally available parts can be used on the ISUZU 4JG2.

Re: My MM550

I decided to fit an on-board compressor using an ac compressor. Its working great and I still need to fabricate an on-board airtank. I have completed the air tubing with an on-line oiler and a drier. Some pics.

Hi Beboy,

Please put your Front Prop-Shaft the other way around.

Spline Yoke to the T-Case.

Regards,

Arka

Re: My MM550

The scorpio engine had major clearance issues and was really heavy.

Re: My MM550

I think I may be able to find some pics! The clearance between the front prop shaft and the crankcase was about 1/2 inch and between the front diff pumpkin and power steering pump was about 2.5 inches. Not enough to off-road on!

Re: My MM550

^^ @Jyobeb, you have hit the nail on the head, any other way of creating clearances in this set up? Ideally, how much clearances are preferred (considering real world usage)?

Re: My MM550

I initially was running on an SPOA setup with absolutely no clearance issues. However, that setup was really scary on the highways at speeds that the Scorpio engine was capable of.
In the interests of comfortable everyday driving, I lowered the jeep to a regular SUA, where all clearances went for a toss!!
In my personal opinion, for real world use with some off-roading involved, the front prop should ideally have about 1.5 inches gap between the engine and itself. Between any part of the engine setup to the pumpkin, the clearance should should be at least 5 inches.
@Cyrus43 - Regular army rims.

Cyrus, you are Spot on! I know the answers, I want that people also must know the reason behind; hence this prompting.

@Jyobeb, you have nailed the coffin, I have nothing more to say. My intention of asking this was only because you are a genuine user who must be having first hand experience of both the setups. By this post you have summarized whatever I had in my mind. You are a good "Product Engineer" material.
