@Live To Jive - can you please put up some details of your drive. I am really interested in this vehicle and would appreciate your likes and dislikes about the vehicle.

Tata Xenon A modern day offroader-truck1edit.jpg

I had the chance to drive this truck to Hyderabad and back to Bangalore. I must admit, I am very impressed with the Xenon. Actually I am in love with it.

PS: This pic serves as my wallpaper too.

Nice pic. I see this one has lost the hub caps as well.. Once would think that by now Tata would have figured out a better design. something that maybe has a bit that sticks under the wheel.

Most people might find it hard to believe, but the Xenon is actually quite a head turner. When the truck was parked at the GMR airport parking lot, most eyes were seen drooling on the Xenon. And there were some real nice cars around.

Awesome pic @mclaren. Is it a 4x4? Can it be driven for long distances in comfort?

A chop job - better offroader now?

I did a moderate chop job on the Xenon here. I think this should make it a better offroader now, shorter overhangs, smaller wheelbase, two seater with lockable luggage area behind the seats. Attached with the original version for size.

Drove the same truck in Bangalore to ferry my relatives from the airport and used it for some days in the city. I absolutely agree with MCL.. it is undoubtedly a head turner.

I had so many ppl ask me, is it Imported (dunno how they didn't see the "T" badge), have you modified it?, what's the cost n stuff.

Honestly, i'm not a big fan of SUV's but I am definitley in love with this one!!

Access to luggage from outside without having to get in and twist yourself.

It is a good looking truck no doubt. But off-roader I seriously doubt it. The concept of having such vehicles in a family is unheard of in India atleast. I mean Safari Getaway has been in the market for long time now but you hardly see one on the road. Bolero Camper is used to ferry goods. I am not sure where Tata's want to position this truck.

I think you mean the Scorpio Getaway.

Here are two more renditions I did, an even shorter wheelbase. A single cab and a modernized Sierra.
