Rahul,...its good to see you make your bones on your own !! It takes courage to do what you are doing "alone" !! Bravo,.!

Off-roading in groups is always safer as you have help if you tip over, get stuck, have mechanical issues. Also for a novice there is something to learn on every turn.

Please do join in more frequently with the NIOC,..I am yet to meet a more dedicated bunch o' guys !

Hope to see you soon. Honestly you were a natural in the first OTR,..I had my reservations when were at the Behrampur sandpit,..the climb was already trashed after the constant pounding the ramp had taken,..you cleared it when it was at its worst,..I guess you did have one of the most capable machines but you did it right the first time around. I was mightly impressed.

The only reason you got stuck that day was that you lost momentum when you needed it the most!!
The elderly gentleman was Shyam Mallick (Romi Ji's Brother). He is amoung the finest off roaders here.

Glad that you are loving your machine!

Cheers!
Naveen

Nice ride Rahul . Your reviews, posts and pics have made the trax a dream machine for me. The vehicle looks awesome with those alloys and tyres.

Cheers.

rhandle brilliant. Your review showed none of the essence unlike your smiley:-)

Your tires selection and the alloys also suit this vehicle and good that your offroading with this too.

So how is the service facilities by force in terms of regular maintainence and spares??

Brilliant write up mate... Looking at your Gurkha makes me want to go out, empty my bank balance and go dune bashing! Enjoy and keep the words and pics coming.

Hello... i haven't been checking T-BHP for a while but this topic got my attention, thanks to maddy42!

@rhandel, Nice vehicel like the wheels. I suppose u too know Dr.Arup Roy, he is sort of a god father for all Gurkha owners.. Guess everyone who owns a Gurkha in our country knows two things clearely, one is Force Motors and other is Dr.Arup Roy!

I also own a Gurkha in TN and I will post pics of my gurkha too, when i can.

It wont be bashing any dunes with that output. Needs more power for the dunes where momentum is everything - torque alone wont conquor.

If you want to go dune-bashing, the Gypsy King would be the best bet in India. Light and revvy.

Is the Gurkha engine a DI or a common-rail? If it is latter then it has an ECU and we can ask Petes' if he makes a box for it...

One more thing, If some of you guys remember the brake problem i was nagging about in Sep or earlier!! I just fixed it, thats how good Force Service is, they lack serious cranial capacity, i mean brains. So guys, YES service is a problem, however parts are not a problem but trained mechs or a lack of them is a serious head ache.

All this after i seriously lost my cool and went ballistic with Force and abused everyone related to Force Service. They finally put things in order after i threatened to axe them or take them to court and do serious damage, finally they seem to have figured it out and simply changed a faulty calipers and costing me a lot!! All this after reducing my life span with unnecessary heart ache and stress.! :(

Just thought i let you people know. TC.

I guess this is part and parcel of buying a Gurkha or f4or that matter of fact any 4X4 offroader.

I showed the rhandle's Gurkha offroading pictures to my wife and she is also liking the idea of buying the Gurkha.

She even smiled at rhandle's comment on noise in the car being good .

@Monster: You have got an amazing and well maintained machine

While googling for Gurkha specifications, came across this video which aptly shows the agility of the Gurkha. BTW does anybody know anything about the TEMPO 290 GTD

You could as well be asking whether we have read Ramayan. Every tom, dick and harry who has followed Gurkha threads on Team-BHP has seen it. Since 2 years I would add.
