I get about 11 - 12 kmpl in my Gypsy - Daily drive in city.
I can get it upto about 12-13 kmpl if i put in a free-wheeling hub for the front.

I have to add that I use it as a Gypsy not a car, ie being gentle on the accelerator, and not try and set any drag / speed records.

Thanks GB.
Your gypsy has a Hitachi carb, which gives better mileage then the Esteem carbed one.
I think 12-13 Kmpl may be manageable.
Thanks

AFAIK
The Aisin carb (Gypsy) runs richer than the Mikuni carb (Esteem) in the low end, therefore theoretically the Mikuni should give a better FE. The Aisin is setup to give a better low end grunt.

[quote=Parm;1579714]I thought of picking up a brand new gyspy, but my problem is that i dont work in india and hence i have no earnings in india and no tax returns!

Hello Sir.

Have you explored a Festival/Debt consolidation loans at offshore and then sending it to India through Remit2India :-). You make Installments in the country you work and enjoy the Gypsy in India. I hope Chidambaram is listening .
