Very nice! A job well done

Also kudos for the rate at which the work was done. A lot time the restorations tend to get sluggish and move slowly once the initial euphoria is gone. But not in your case

The rear looks bare but as you said it is in pipe. Once that is done this already stunning Gypsy will be a source of envy for a lot of people on the road.

Best of luck and happy jeeping man!

Its not Diesel dude . . The original petrol with 4x4 . .

I am not in Bangy Krishna, Will contact you when i come to Bangy for sure, Cos i am a real big big fan of Gypsy. And only thing that keeps me away from it is time to spend in getting one and restoring.

Just drooled through your enetire thread, dude. Great Job. Hope the 4X4 issue is sorted out. Do make sure the front wheels are aligned straight like someone mentioned earlier when you try to shift into 4W.

Have fun !

No sir it’s still pending. My Gypsy was not starting properly in the morning, so I gave it to Suraksha near forum mall on 9th. I was out of station last weekend too.

They have replaced few small things in the Carb, Cleaned petrol tank (it had little water and lots of dust particles) Timing adjustment also had to be done. Before it was 54, now it is 52(It should be 52)

It’s all working fine from then. Every day I am driving it to my office, it starts without any problem.

One thing i have noticed is, It sucks petrol like water, Now i know how good my Bajaj Pulsar is

Lights will be fitted and silencer mod will be done this weekend in Mysore.

Rear number plates fixed(using 2 way sticker), Front number plates still in my Dashbord.

Hi Aj,

Usually I don’t keep the bill, this time I have it with me as I want to show this to Mandovi in Mysore. They could not rectify the problem even in the second attempt.

Part no, Description, Rate
CT, Thinner (AJ EA+H), 48Rs
13370M60CTO, VALVE ASSY. NEEDLE, 107.16Rs
OR, O Ring, 60Rs

Petrol tank cleaning 250Rs
Carburetor overhaul 375Rs
Battery Charging 100Rs

Hope this help's in solving your problem.

Thats the float valve/needle assembly that they have replaced in the carb. Usual culprit in an old carb.

It’s a FFE (Free Flow Exhaust).

Things completed since last update are:

1. The bull bar work. Yesterday I and my friend Rakshit fitted the Bull bar.
2. New Door Pads.
3. Team-Bhp Sticker's on the front glass and also on the Dash board.
4. Rally 3000 Light Fitting on the Front Bumper.
5. Three comet 450's on the top.
6. Minda air Horn fitting.
7. Door, glass setting work done.
8. HID Number Plate fiting.
9.Now only work pending is the seat and snorkel. I am planning to get it from UK. Sparco R100 Original seats and safari snorkel. Let’s see.

I have the pics in my camera, I will be posting the Pics shortly.
