Hey Krishna,
Your Gypsy looks very nice!
I remember you buying 4 of those rectangular hellas. But i see only 3 on the gypsy, any specific reason?
Another question i had was, could you share the details about your soft top? From where did you buy it or was it custom built by your mechanic at mysore and how much did you have to pay for it?
Cheers,
Deepak

Nice catch . The fourth Hella will be fitted near the stepny. Check the picture. Wiring work was done a month ago, I have to get a clamp and fit it. Hopefully next weekend I will get it done.

I got the soft top custom made in Mysore. The material is water proof, front face black color and silver on the other side. I didn’t want my cabin to be silver color when I zip the top, so I asked him to stitch double layer for the back portion hence had to pay 200Rs extra material cost. Total it cost me 1500Rs including material, stitching and fitting.

My Gypsy Rebuild Project-dsc02091.jpg

I had taken this photo a month ago. Night view

I have bought a music system for my Gypsy. China maal. It plays music from only USB and FM, no CD. I also bought a 6” 4 way speaker and Dapic tweeter too.

The player is very cheap, sound quality is pretty good. Good enough for open Gypsy like mine. At least don’t have to worry much about the music system getting stolen.

Now the worry is “how long it lasts”

Any guesses on the cost?

My Guess:
1. Rs. 1100 for the player
2. Rs. 700 for set of two 6inch speaker

total should be around two thousand with tweeters

New Gypsy king sucks petrol only like any other hutch back cars.
This myth about pertrol consumption is probably related to MG410 not MG 413.
