Yes those are from Mahindra Vehicle. It was there when i bought my Gypsy.

Hi all,

This weekend i bought a pair of imported seats for my Gypsy. Driver side height adjustable, Left side seats foldable(rear seat access).
Got a decent price for my older seats too.

Installation is complete now and its very comfortable. Pics will follow soon.

That one looks Sport ST Tachometere. It is electrical unit and it does not require a mechanical connection. This basically works with mesuring electrical current accorss the electrical distrbutions system. Usually connected directly to the battery. On a classic distributor and coil ignition system, the positive wire connects to the battery and the negetive one to the negative side of the coil. (There would be two other wires on it which is to be connected to the dashboard lighting system)

These sytems works well with older model cars but have heard that there are issues with the newer generation cars in connecting this.

Yenkay used to make a similar one in India (with out the Shift Indicator - Red Light on the unit ) and was adjustable to all 1, 3 & 4 cyl engines. It used to have a analoge needle to set at the optimum RPM position(gear shift position). Used to be regular feature in the Rally Fiats and Ambys of 70s and early 80s.

Ram: Yes you are right

Also installation took not more than 1 hr, simple wiring and works fine too. Am pretty happy with it and i didnt pay much $$ too

No it doesnt have A/C. Fitting A/C in MG410 is not a good option too.

I forgot to take my camera from Mysore` , I will try to get the snaps through Email or i will use my Mobile to click few snaps.

The seats a very comfortable, I did a 150Km ride(Mysore-Bangalore), these are far better than stock seats.
But since these are wider seats, there is not much space left in the cabin.
Overall am pretty happy with it

Hi All,

Last weekend as usual, I drove my gypsy to Mysore.
In the Evening I decided to meet my friends, So took out my gypsy but on the way the engine got Seized. Yes it got Seized

As we all know sourcing Gypsy spares is not an easy task and I didn’t want my gypsy to be in garage for weeks, So I asked the Mech to tow it to my Hotel cellar parking.

All these days I was calling up Tbhp members for their suggestions on whether I should go for MPFI 1.3/1.6, King GB Etc Etc.

I asked few mech if they can take up MPFI mod job but most of them didn’t show interest.

On the hunt to find Engine/Gb for my Gypsy I visited classifieds in Tbhp. Though I didn’t find any engine, I found Viji selling Custom Bumper/ Transfer case Guard. So landed up in buying them all from Viji

No matter what happens, My interest on Gypsy keep’s going high day by day.

Ok back to the main topic now, Later I realized instead of spending money on converting MG410 to MG413/MG416, I rather sell MG410 and buy MG413. so dropped the plan and decided to rebor the existing engine and use this for may be another year or so.

So I will be giving my gypsy for engine Rebor tomorrow.

One question to all. How many times engine reboring can be done?

There is no specific number of times, its as long as the over sized rings are available and can be fitted.

mitsubishi mirage = mitsubshi lancer in india, If you get it for 4-5k its good else you can go for recaro lookalikes going at 8k plus, very comfortable.

Hi Krishna,

You can do an Engine rebore three times. The stock pistons are size 0, you can get this rebored to size 1/2/3 (Oversize), after which you need to replace the block. But another solution is to send the block to Lathe and get it redone to size 0 (Stock).

Engine Seized

Thats a bad news Krishna,BTW how any why?

Engine Seizes only if oli is not upto level or engine is driven loog whrn its too hot or water pump fails

I might be wrong ,any other suggestions
