Foot Pump

I will not recommend a foot pump if you're going to Leh, in all probability, you will not face a puncture, but if you do, you will bust your backside pumping the foot pump in that thin air. Trust me, I know, from the days of my bike trip. Try to get a electric/battery operated one. In either case, just jacking the vehicle and removing the wheel will be an adventure in itself. All the best and have a safe trip!

Did you got heating issues resolved with A.C switched on in slow traffic?

I am installing A.C underbody in my gypsy and trying to put a wagon R fan with a thermostat on a stock radiator. Hopefully it will not have any heating issues.

AC Setup - Heating problem has reduced with the new radiator. Temp stays at 50% w/o AC is city traffic and at ~65-70% with ac in city traffic. On the highways the temp is lower but again depends on how hard you push her.

Have also added an external thermostat to the blower, the cut-off interval can be tuned accordingly to take the load off the engine at regular intervals.

Radiator - Its a 3 line copper radiator v/s the 2 line aluminium stock radiator i had earlier.

Is it a good idea to have an AIR SCOOP for better air flow resulting in lower heating??? Only issue is cutting the bonnet

Hey Kaushik
DO NOT CUT YOUR BONNET
The bonnet is quite expensive.
If you are keen on a bonnet scoop then try and get some second hand bonnet and conduct your experiments.

BTW - Your monster is looking good - do post a set of comprehensive pics of the Gypsy.

Cheers

Instead of bonnet, try some ducting on the bumper so that more area of radiator gets the air flow., this will be cheaper and easier job.

Well i think you are talking abt installing the condenser under the body, ppl do that but only if you dont intend to do a lot of OTR.

But yes it should prevent the heating problem.
