MG410- one with 1.0LTR 45bhp engine-the original gypsy came from 86-93

MG410W-Same 1.0 LTR engine but wider track.

MG413W-Gypsy King with 1.3 LTR engine,launched in late 1996.

MG416-I think gypsies with 1.6L baleno are reffered to as MG416,was never launched by MUL

ok, for the mahindra models-
MM540-the jeep that looks like the jeep cj5. common with the millitary, police.
MM550-same as MM540 but a little big with a different interior and a better engine. (probably XDP)
MM440-the petrol version of the MM540, fitted with the ISUZU 1.8LTR motor.
CJ/CL340-the indian version of the CJ (civilian jeep) with the peougot 2.1 motor. the one member samurai has.
CL340 Classic-a ltd. edition CL340
CJ-the civilian jeep being produced in USA originally. it had different versions over years like CJ-3B/2A/4/5 and so on. in india the CJ3B is most common as was manufactured by Mahindra.

Let me try and act as if I know something here.

To begin as already confirmed with there is no MG416 - its just a model concocted by members. Its for a Gypsy with a 1.6 Baleno engine. A pretty mean mix I am led to believe.

CJ/CL340 is (SWB) Short Wheel Base Chassis. CJ was pre 70s and naming convention changed to CL post 70s. Not sure which year exactly.

MM540 - came in both 2WD and 4WD. DP engine which is 2112cc with a 4 speed Gear box.
MM550 - is not bigger, is always a 4WD and has a 2.5L XD3P engine. with a 5 speed Gear box.
MM5x0 are what I personally call RWB (Right Wheel Base)
MM440 - is the same base as the 540 with a Petrol engine. IIRC - Only 4x4versions.

MM650 is (LWB) long chassis (longer than MM540) This also came in 4x4 versions.
MM750 is longer than 650. Pure people movers.

There!

About some Willys Jeeps & Ford GPW's:
1. The jeeps that are pre-1980, are most probably original Willys, but out of them; very few are having original Go-Devil 2112cc (Side Valve) Petrol Engine. Their bonnets used to be engraved with WILLYS or JEEP.
2. For GPW Vehicle means Ford General Purpose War Vehicle, these were also used to have a Go-Devil 2112cc (Side Valve) Petrol Engine. Some of them also used to have Side Valve 2496cc Hurricane engines. Their bonnets & windshield portion below the wipers used to be engraved with FORD.

MG410W-Same 1.0 LTR engine but wider track.
410W lacked hublocks which was std. accessory in MG410.
they continued production up to 1999 but were called Gypsy E( economy model) after the launch of King.

This 1.3l engine had carburetter, had a 5 speed GB and shared the very same block of esteem.

in 2000 q1 MPFI Kings were released which had 1.3l mpfi engine
