Priority is to save life of high ups on monitoring mission in these Assault vehicles or actually to fight terrorists . May be bulletproof jackets , helmets and accurate rifles with lots of fire practice and commando training is what they need

Even that crazy contraption will not be sold (if sold) for anything less than 6 Lakhs.

Yes, it was at Vahan Yatra 2009, that is the one. How did it look, any photos available?

BTW, since the vehicle is undergoing road trials in Bangalore, I am sure some people must have seen this. Something like this can't remain a secret.

Even looks like an ATV with a little bigger tyres and roof on top of it. But if the ground clerance is good, it will be one hell of an offroader as it would have the least weight among 4X4 vehicles in indian market.

There wasnt much at VY to take me out of my slumber .. gave this one also a pass.

It's not very tall, small foot-print : something like a 800 / Nano. Couldnt go around to check the seating area.

Cannnot double up as a personal transport. Better suited to places like estates / jungle lodges etc.

IMO, let's Not get excited.

Do you mean the recent Vahan Yatra that just got over ? I've taken pics of almost everything there...but did not see anything close to this. There were ATVs yes, but nothing radical like the pic in this thread. I can post the pics is anyone is interested...

How is the ground clearance? Thats the crux and rest all looks ok for a fun offroader

Ok I was there at the Vahan Yatra on the first day early in the morning, so I'm not sure if there was anything displayed at a later point. I'm posting all the pics of the ATVs I saw there:

Superb pics of the ATVs. I saw one during my delhi - leh ride. It was on rohtang top. Just when we reached rohtang we saw a red ATV climbing a very steep hill. don`t have any pics, but we stopped their and watched it climb all the way.

I read all this, and then instinctly check the system date...no, it is not April 1st. And I am flabbergasted.

@NIP, None of those. These pics show a ATV.

The one we're discussing was displayed between the Toyota & the Chevy stalls.
