Rumour of a brand new offroader...

Today morning I heard of a totally new offroader that may go on production for the Indian market, the manufacturing will be in Bangalore. Currently it is only supplied to US military, the name is Aggressor.

Googling on Aggressor offroad got me lot of links like this: New Stealth Hybrid Vehicle

Yeah, I know, it is crazy. So I don't want to jump into any conclusions about the looks. The price is supposed to be within 5L. It will be available with extra options like 2 seater or 4 seater, with or without AC, winch, etc. The petrol engine will be Honda and the diesel engine is something starting with L, not sure about that one. The service will be provided by Honda's service network.

Here is the best part. It will be taking part in the Munzerabad Club offroad event to be held in Sakleshpur this weekend.

Disclaimer: I heard this from a reliable source, but if nothing shows up at Sakleshpur on 15th, don't come after me.

You think they are coming to Munzerabad offroad event to test the Military version? Or that the price of 5L is for the military version? This is for the civilian offroad market.

Well, if it is what it is, there will be a whole new dimension to the Indian off-roading scenario...
As rightly mentioned, the GC may be an issue if its going to be the same as in the above pic...

Some more information on the undermentioned website.

I am sure the vehicle in the above pic does not cost 5 lakhs INR. The link pasted is some hybrid vehicle - concept.

Lets wait and watch - I have made this an art now.

Seems like one of those ATVs/dune buggies..though a bit pimped up. should be a fun vehicle. Go dune bashing with it.

By the way and sorry for going off topic but I heard that Tata are going to sell the Defender to the Army. The Army is already testing the Defender. Oh what fun!!

Guys, don't go fantasizing looking the image posted by Jaggu. May be only the name is common, I am told this is an ATV upgrade. No image is available until now, so let's not lose grip on reality.

BTW, since the vehicle is undergoing road trials in Bangalore, I am sure some people must have seen this. Something like this can't remain a secret.

A real off-roader, petrol, less than 5 Lakh.
I am getting the sinking feeling that I get whenever I am faced with something that is too good to be true.

I did some googling on my own, and couldn't find anything. If anyone hears/sees any of these vehicles around Bangalore, please post! As of now, I am going to play the same waiting game as Spitfire.

It is an ATV upgraded to a 2 or 4 seat vehicle. Must be very light, could be using a small engine. The similarly named US military vehicle is confusing us, but let's ignore that name similarity for now.

But the wait is not too long. It will be revealed this week at Sakleshpur OTR. Until then let's twiddle our collective thumbs.

There was one such vehicle displayed at VY 2009, powered by a Honda engine. But didnt have those two bars along the center line.
