Thanks Naveen !! I has taken a lot longer to accomplish than what we had thought in the beginning, but it is comforting to know that you have liked the final outcome. There is no bigger reward for me than to know and be satisfied that all the effort and time that we put in have finally paid off.

I know it is going to be a little difficult for you to subject this beauty to the rigors of the trail on the Off-road tracks that we transverse, but as we both know this beast has come to life for one purpose only. That is to conquer all the steep climbs, sand pits and slush patches which come its way.
May the fours be with you !! :thumbs up

Thanks once again for putting so much confidence in my work and decision making ability.

Regards

Congrats to both of you!!! It has been a total transformation from what it was and its now! GREAT Work!

Jas/Naveen
How soon do you guys think that we can have the 3B at OTR???

Thanks Harjeev !! The Jeep indeed has turned out good. It might be another Week to get everything done up. Currently I am playing the role of the painter since my idiot painter is absconding again :Frustrati Just finishing up the pending paint work on some of the components of the Jeep and then it will be time to install new tyres and wiring harness.

TOday we finally went for the first drive in the Jeep. It was a great experience and I am very happy as to how the Jeep has turned out. I was not able to click many pictures as all of us including Naveen and Aaron were busy putting effort to get the vehicle started and go for a drive. Aaaron had a great time in the open top Hotrod :D (Only the first half section of the exhaust was installed, so the Hurricane was singing tune of itself) for the first half of the journey. We got the exhaust fitted up properly and had a really soothing drive back.

I request Naveen to share his first experience with the Jeep !!

Here are the pictures with the proud Father-Son duo sitting in the Beast.

Also shot a small clip of the Jeep being taken out of the garage and on the way back. Here are the links:

Jas & Naveen , Congrats to both of you. You have given the Jeep its old glory back.
Now waiting for Naveen's feedback and action pics from next OTR.

Jeep Harder!!

Thanks Shibu (JC) !! I am also a detailed review by Naveen, as I think his opinion matters the most on the work done so far.

Its not done yet folks !!

The drive last night will have to be the most thrilling one of my life so far.
Without the exhaust on,.. the jeep sounded like a Top fuel Dragster.

The best part is we passed a police picket and Jasvinder with his sense of humor had me in splits :uncontrol !!
He was like ""Policewalla soach raha hoga ki kis kis jeez ke liee rokuin inhe !! "" In simple translation this would mean, for which violation should I stop this jeep. No silencer, No top, no seat belt, no wind shield, no headlights, balding tires, and a 3 year old hanging on for dear life !!

Now on a serious note :- The tasks pending are.
  1. Rubbing, polishing and detailing of body.
  2. Rims to be rust treated and painted, after which new NDMS tires will be mounted.
  3. Windshield, and Canopy Frame to be painted and mounted.
  4. Canopy / ragtop to be fixed, floor mats.
  5. Electrical harness to be installed, along with new alternator
  6. Drive home the classic with the blessings of the GOD-FATHER of the jeep, and run in with care :D.
Right now I am just plain speachless. A full review will follow after I have takn delivery of the jeep this weekend.

Last week the Jeep has received a custom made Canvas Top. We were lucky to find a exact matching color to go with the Jeep's overall color scheme. A brand new wiring harness was fitted to the Jeep and all the electrical components were bought to life. Since I was out of town visiting Corbett National Park to have a glimpse of the all elusive Tiger, I picked up the Jeep in the evening today and clicked the some pictures to post on T-Bhp. Now its time to complete the paint detailing job, fitting a new windscreen and the Jeep will be ready for action.

Fab job Jasvinder. Congrats! Naveen. Lets hope I can make it for Sunday's OTR. Will definitely want to check it out in the flesh!

Great work buddy!!!
Cant wait to check the jeep on Sundays OTR!!!
Post some daytime shots too!!!

Hi Diesel maniac
I think I spotted you while you were doing the initial test drive. Even I thought when u crossed the PCR van.
I am able to hear the roaring sound of the Jeep. The world is very small for TEAM_BHP. Keep of the good work. I posted the same message earlier don’t know why it was not reflected.
The concept reminds me when senior Paul designed a bike based on the same color combination (OCC)Orange county…..
Thanks
Srinivas

The jeep was finally unveiled at its first OTR in "Manger", Gurgaon Faridabad road. Since I was doing all the driving I do not have any more pictures. Lets hope fellow jeepers got some action shots for me to post here.

The Jeep performed admirably, for just 200 kms on the odo.
The two senior MODS Sarvinder, RB took the jeep for a test drive..!
I was biting my nails as they have very high standards.

They both gave me their thumbs up :thumbs up !!
It was relief for the jeep to have passed their grueling test.
The jeep still has a lot of fine tuning to be done ,..but am I one happy jeeper.

HI Naveen,

The Jeep looks fab !!!!clap:

I saw some pics of it on NIOC, Preet has posted his picassa link. You sure seem to be a Happy Jeeper. For the next few weeks all that you would be thinking of is the Jeep.

Great going once again.

Cheers !!!!!!!!!!!

Randeep

Nice picture of the jeep there. With the star on the bonnet, looks straight out of a US army movie ! That's an excellent rebuild you have there. Congrats.
