Allan - what are you going to be doing about the brakes? With more power you will need better brakes.

everyon is asking a bit too much

but a deal may go in by the end of the week hopefully,
have my fingers crossed
shall post pictures then

some questions
1. should i go for a black bonnet or stick to the blue
2. what colour to paint the shocks
3. dashboard is complete in black, looks stunning, tomorrow shall do the audio install, should i install an rpm meter since i will have the baleno engine
4. should i go in for dark tints or leave them clear
5. door handles, black or blue

thanks in advance

i can get her on the road right now witht he 1 litre engine, but that will only make my search for the engine less urgent
so not doing at

  3. Go for a tacho with shift light.
  4. Dark tints with team-bhp sticker on a corner.
  5. Black Door handles.

Arka,

1.6 transplant requires minimum mechanical modification. We can retain the OE transfercase positions and needn't modify propeller shaft lengths.
Kings gear box can be fitted to the 1.6 block with a little machining, even without using an adapter plate.(near bolt on)

1.8 got all the advantage you have mentioned, but its heavy and fitting it in Gypsy require more cuts and welds.
Isuzu transplant demands

Hi Edmund long time no see no hear, where are you and hows your car doing.

Hey Allan how about a custom paint job on the bonnet, in black and blue as for the handles black. Tints light colour in black or grey or best do without them.

Allan I am sure you've already thought of this, you will need a brake booster for stopping power once you plonk in the 1.6. Dont think the 1 ltr Gypsy came with that.

Allen i agree with you, ISUZU might not be the ideal engine for Gypsy, due to the very reason you have mentioned. Best options according to me are 1.6 Baleno or an 1.3 MPFI. 1.3 MPFI with a crawler kit is just bloody awesome, someday if i buy my Gypsy that will be the first mod from my side.

Does the ISUZU 1.8L come in turbo version? does it have a 5 speed gearbox with no 4x4 when plonked onto a Gypsy?
