Wow, what a machine. I thought you forgot about this and have gone for a vacation since you have not updated that other thread, but boy you are back. Just superb. Now need some offroad pics.

Hi Allan, Awesome!! You were tearing up the road! a question though.. 190? It could be speedo error due to the tyre size.

Do let us know more about the engine swap -

--What all was required - Engine, ECU, Wiring Harness and more
--How was it mated to the gearbox
--How many mountings were customized?
-- costs involved in the engine swap

Are 1.6 engines available with Maruti service? Did you do any modification to the gearbox after putting in the engine?

Does anyone know a place in Pune to modify a Gypsy to order with good quality workmanship?
Apologies for the digression, but I wasn't sure where to post this question.

I think you need to get every thing done from diffrent places. There is no one-stop-shop in pune. BTW what mods are you planning....

For starters, exactly what you had spoken about to me - getting it to be a two seater soft top, with the rear cover that closes over folded down rear benches. Once that is done, maybe find a way to up the ground clearance an inch or two, but I suspect that will mean a change of tyres as well and I am not sure I want to do that right away. When/where are you getting the soft top conversion done?

Allan,

That's one great video of high speeding. Sounds superb like rally cars. Envy you on Baleno engine, though Isuzu 1800 is good enough for offroading on road I could touch max of 140 kmph.

I could rethink of plonking baleno engine if I could get a good one.
