It must be 2 nos and not 3. bought from mayapuri(padam's i guess). 80k each. 2001 and 2002 model which has disc brakes in front. 15k per jeep for the transportation. One jeep is getting restored in bangalore and the other in Shimoga. They have also bought 10 sand cum highway tires at 3.5k per tyre. The bodyline is too good and even the OEM seats are in very good condition. Engine is in running condition.

Actually four 550's (ranging from 1999~2002) were brought by two diffrent group of friends and two Gypsy kings.
Two are already up and running in Bangalore. All the 550's have been sourced from Padam.
Well it's kind of nasty experience to them. As one vehicle is yet to reach Blr for the past 47 days.. the wait is getting too too long.
Well I have done a rating on the following factors Bodyline, Electrical, Mechanical on a scale of 1 to 5 [1 being the worst and 5 being the best]
Transport from Delhi to Blr and Current status being the factors.
Lots of missing parts and delayed transportation from Delhi to Bangalore are the two things one has to be careful. And finally they are yet to register it in Bangalore.
Hope guys this is useful.

Does it not make more sense to pick up army disposals from Avadi?

Isn't this closer or am I missing something here? Also as of now are there any bhpians from Bangalore who have Army550 rides?

Heard it works out to be expensive to pick up from Avadi.

Four among them are passive members of TeamBhp.

The gypsy's costed them approx 80k and 15k on transportation to Blore.
We will have to wait for 1 more years for MPFI Gypsies as they were supplied to the army only after 2003.

Hi joshguy,

The registation documents are yet to reach the owners, should be reaching them in a day or two.

These are as per my knowledge
It will be registered in the original bidder's name and will be transwered to your name but will be a PB regestered vehicle.

Any way will keep you posted once they are done with the registration process is done
