Me too spotted only the roll cage. army gypsy's or the jeep for that matter of fact never had roll cages so i guess thats the differences you are referring to.

are those hummer going to go back to US? or will they stay back in india like the old willy's ..just a wild thought to see if they'll get auctioned here. way too wild a thought i know.

It just a roll bar, and the gypsys and jeeps in the defense forces have them on the vehicles used for display[read parades] and High ranging officials [company cars] Cars. This too is used by some one like a col, check the red plate between the tail lamps.

Hello guys, I have one question. Is this legal posting such Army Excercise photographs on a public forum also disclosing places?

Easy guys. This exercise is all over the net. This is the ongoing Yudh Abhyas 09. Below are some official links, so I don't think there is any problem with publishing. Anyway, there is just one pic here. I can give you links with dozens of pics of this particular exercise doing rounds in other forums.

As part of the ongoing Indo-US Defence Cooperation, an Indo-US Joint Exercise YUDH ABHYAS 09 is being conducted at Babina from 12 to 29 Oct 2009, under the aegis of HQ Southern Command.
USARPAC, United States Army, Pacific (for pics)

YA09, which is scheduled for Oct. 12-27, is a bilateral exercise involving the Armies of India and the United States.
These are from official sites of Press Information Bureau of India and US Army. This is just an exercise. Rest easy.

Little correction here there are two stars on the red plate which means its an official vehicle of Army Officer on Major General Rank.
Single Star - Brigediar
Double Star - Major General
Three Stars - Lt . General
Four Stars - Cheif of Army Staff (Full General)
