Ah - So this is what Arjun meant when he said to me that you had done 'something' in place of a traction bar - but he cldnd put it in words. Thats a very nice idea Allan, awaiting to see how much wrap that mod can avoid...

What amazed me was the quality of the build especially the Engine and Gear Box work....

Axle Wrap

Hi Allan,

Rotating the diff improves drive line axle.

You had suitably stiffed the leaf springs, that is what cut the wrap 80%.

Another trick is to make Longer Leaf Spring Perches (Leaf Support) Front & Rear Axles to reduce axle wrap.

The Catch is with the Front Axle Drive Line angle, if you cut and rotate then it will change the King Pin Inclination & Caster, and you will have to rotate the knuckles.

Cutting and Turning

The Ideal way is to push the engine gearbox assy back by 6-8 inches,

or use the MM FC Van Front Diff Housing they are angled for SPOA.

SPOA = Spring Perched Over Axles (as opposed to under them)

So as not to go OT in this thread, read, see and discuss more here : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-te...arted-now.html

I just read the entire thread now! PHEW! I'm lost for words! Great job Arjun and Allan.
And I understand you are a student Arjun(Just like me). What do you do? and it is great to see this kind of passion from you man!

Also, Many people have asked earlier. What were the costs involved? Do you not want to put up the break up so it will help others also have an idea if they can afford it. (Like me)!

Amazing pics Arjun. You might have had a blast off roading. The Jeep looks like it just eats away the terrains.

Nice Going Cheers
