Building a Rally Gypsy- Jeep Captain

Friends,

Presenting my last project for the year . Building a Rally Gypsy!

Please note this is a completed project .. its just that I am not getting time to post.

Nothing out of the world. It is about converting a Gypsy king carborated to Rally Gypsy.

All mods and overhauls done by Raj Kapoor, Performance Auto, Noida, Delhi.

Thanks to Raj and his wonderful team and his shop manager John. Gypsy has turned out very well. esp the paint job.

Many thanks to my Gypsy friends Anirban (the ex-owner), Vaibhav (t-bhp handle Gotzuk ) and Varsha in helping me to complete this project.

Following are the mods planned
1) Adding a Rollcage
2) Metal Cabin
3) Air Scoop
4) Tow Hook with an Adapter plate.

Apart from the mods listed above- there is another big list of overhauling to be done which I will share with you soon.

The donor vehicle is a Gypsy King Carb engine bought from a friend in Delhi.
He had participated in Desert Storm 09 as a Marshal. So you can still those stickers or decals on it.

The gypsy was bought and modded in Delhi and driven all the way to Cochin!

Pics of Gypsy before the mods!

Santhosh, pics are defenitely going to flow. No engine transplant was done on this. It is still a 1.3L carburated engine.

Shibu all I can say is WOW!

Not a lot of people get to hear this from me but here it is "Dude I am seriously jealous of you" between the wrangler, CJ, Yellow gypsy, White Gypsy and now the king, you are living the dream my friend hats off to you.

If I am not wrong I think I have already seen a glimpse of the end product from this thread some where else on the forum. I will let the enthusiasts connect the dots for that The hint is Diesel_Maniac (Jasvinder)!

Nice to see the thread on the gypsy, the witness of your 'amazingly adventurous' ride to Kerala! Hope the gypsy is running perfectly fine now.

Bailee_Jatt_Boy, Thanks a ton bro! Yes I eat, breathe, sleep and live Jeeps ( and ofcourse Gypsies) They keep me going. I am inspired by none other than UBS sir. I know I am nothing compared to him, but trying to be like him. Hey I think you missed out one .. My MM550 restoration. hehe.Check out my thread on that.

You got me there man.. you are right about the final product. Thanks for the clue. Jasvinder (diesel_maniac) and Soumen (kandisa) know the whole story of my adventure or rather I should say misadventure. See his post right after yours.

that seems to be a rollcage with a huge FOS(factor of safety)
too many pipes.
Please share the specification of tubes used.
