It's my pleasure and thanks a lot for the great gesture. I will reach out to you for any help regarding my restoration process.

As of now I'm buying a Toyota FJ65 to be dismantled and used as donor for my FJ40. So most of the drive terrain parts will be borrowed from the FJ65, I will need help in few cosmetic identification which will happen through the process.

FJ40 is starting it's journey to hospital in the next 12 hours, This time I'm not driving but the restorer(powertwin) himself.

Excellent News! Siva, I have a request, Could you ask powertwin to do a full water wash and make the FJ40 sparkling clean right before she is admitted to hospital.

Baby's Day Out

Finally I call it a day, The TLC FJ40 is out of my parking lot and pushed itself a 500+ km long journey to Coimbatore.

Next time when I see this TLC in chennai, I will be a eye-catcher for many and primary offroad vehicle for my family. The Explorer still keep's its position as individual preference for offroad terrain.

Prior to start the vehicle to Coimbatore, we changed the gearbox oil and differential oils

Oops!! think trammway was following his FJ 40, at least up to Kanchipurum, We got ourselves drenched in showers some were near Kanchi, luckily we were able to save his new seats ( which was under the hard top body, but with no windows @ two sides to stop the water)
any way happy that we have at least saved " water service charges" for trammway

Any thing with ROTATING wheels is not a problem for me !! , ever since I turned my eyes on machines that run on Land !!, it was kinda of expedition (If we just ignore the irritating replies by parts dealers , while going for parts hunt)

Long time restoration is not my Way !!, since trammway desperately needed the vehicle to be shifted to Coimby from Chennai....so it has been planned accordingly !!
Any way on the eve of " Ganesh Chathurthi ", FJ 40 's side badges was removed & moved to safe custody after plenty of spraying & teeth biting anti- clock wise torques to the heavily rusted monogram screws!! ( think trammway is happy now !!)
