One year yes one entire year these pics didnt let me live in peace,
The day i sold my gypsy suddenly from no where everyone bought a gypsy and started roaming out. Everyday some or the other person had to rub it on my face that why did you sell your gypsy you are mad. (pepole like, Adman, danlalan, Balenopower,Urja,Whickedwheels and many others).

initially only 5-6 of us use to go for offroad in our cars, this year when i sold my Gypsy i see average of 15 vehicels every trip. Man it was killing me.

finally my hunt has ended now. found a Gypsy day before yesterday and picked it up on same day.

its 96 model 1 liter. (pics will come later)

I plan to for below mentioned mods over a period of time. so please provide you inputs and let me know what more can be done.

( i dont want fancy mod like body kit or a fantastic paint job, its purely going to be a offroader)

engine tune up is done..

1) Denting & Painting (suggestion for colour are most welcome)
2) currently has 215 tyers kinda Brand new, Planning for 235 section
3) Exhaust
4) ICE (i cant live without it)
5) SPOA or Shackel Lift (want to have a discussion with you people for +ves and -ves)
6) Engine transplant (again want to take inputs from you all specially people like dwarak,Allan and others who has changed the engines)

so please feel free to post and let me know your opnion

Shahnawaz,

I am still thinking which engine should i go for?

Engine and SPOA are going to be the last mod of the car.

could you tell me howz the handling of your Gypsy after SPOA? at what speed you can drive her easily?

@ Ramie,

Yes bro, need a 4 channel Amp and set of Speakers. i still have the woofer.

Seeing the places your previous Gypsy has been, I hope to see you have a terrific comeback.

Please post pictures of your new ride. Is she road worthy as of now?

I even have the sway bar removed and to be honest, the handling goes for a toss. BUT if you have been driving a Gypsy for years then it should not be an issue. On good NH roads I can easily do 100+ but one has to be SHARP with the steering and handling. At speeds of ~80 i can cruise all day long.

However, IT DOES SWAY and one has to live with it.

PS: Why don't you think of putting in an auto locker also. Believe me it will be an investment & a mod that will make you happy -- GUARANTEED.

Hi devang Congrats on your new monstar, But the first mod you should have on your list is GOOD TYRES, that was missing on your first gypsy and you end up getting stuck in the muck.(the last pic at the start of the page). The body work looks to be in a bad condition. Good luck with your build.
